Snapchat's new AR filter lets you try on NYX makeup
Snapchat and NYX Professional Makeup have launched an AR filter called "Beauty Bestie" that doubles as a shopping tool. It allows users to try out makeup looks and purchase matching products on the NYX website. The filter adapts to the user's preferences and recommends more personalized looks over time. New customizable looks from NYX makeup artists will also appear daily. Also planned for this winter is a feature that will allow users to scan a product with their mobile phone camera to see a matching tutorial video.
Arizona Sunshine 2: Vertigo announces gameplay showcase
Vertigo Games has announced a gameplay presentation of the VR zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine 2. The presentation will be broadcast on YouTube on November 17th, 2023 at 17:00 CET (link see source below) and will provide an in-depth look at the new campaign gameplay with developer commentary. Details about the game will also be revealed, including co-op announcements and special guest appearances. During the gameplay showcase, you will be able to interact directly with the developers in an AMA session on Reddit (r/PSVR and r/OculusQuest). The threads are now open for questions. Arizona Sunshine 2 will be released on December 7th, 2023 for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR.
VR puzzle game We Are One now allows you to create your own levels
Developer Flat Head Studio and publisher Fast Travel Games have released the Level Creator Update for their hit VR puzzle game, We Are One. The update, available as a free download for existing owners on Meta Quest platforms and PC VR via SteamVR, allows players to design their own challenges using the game's unique mechanics, such as recording and cloning their actions. Players can choose enemy types, level themes, and course duration, and share their creations with the community. The Meta Quest 3 version of the game also recently received a patch improving the game's visuals.
Walkabout Mini Golf: HelloReal announces new limited edition VR putter
HelloReal has unveiled the Grip-to-Putter II, an officially licensed controller accessory for the VR mini-golf game Walkabout Mini Golf. The new edition comes after demand for the first version of the VR putter far exceeded expectations. The accessory aims to bring the realistic feel of a weighted physical putter to VR. The Grip-to-Putter II is compatible with Quest 1, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro and PSVR 2 and will begin shipping in early December. Pre-orders are available now for just under $55.
