Disney star Sabrina Carpenter to give a VR concert in Meta's Horizon Worlds
Sabrina Carpenter and Meta announce a VR concert for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. The event will take place in Meta Horizon Worlds' Music Valley on July 19th and will be available in the following weeks. Fans can look forward to a 180-degree view of a 45-minute show featuring hits such as "Espresso", "Nonsense," and more. VR shooter Dead Second is bringing 90s nostalgia to the Meta Quest
Developer Spunge Games announces the official launch of Dead Second in the Meta Horizon Store on June 27, 2024. The VR shooter, inspired by arcade classics from the 90s, will be available for $15. The main new features compared to the highly rated App Lab version include updated levels, new enemy attack drones, balanced difficulty levels, special optimizations for Quest 3, a new ability called "Temporal OverDrive", additional achievements and leaderboards, as well as a new soundtrack. After the launch, the developers plan to release new content on an ongoing basis.
FitXR revamped its VR workout environments on Meta Quest
The popular VR-Fitness-App FitXR has updated several of its workout environments. The Seafront environment now offers a more tropical and serene atmosphere, while the Box Studio environment has been enhanced with improved textures, lighting, and plants for a minimal distraction workout. The Rooftop environment has been completely remodeled to provide a warmer and more uplifting space for Box, Dance, HIIT, and Combat workouts. The updates are aimed at enhancing the workout experience and inspiring users to achieve their fitness milestones.
