FitXR introduces mixed reality workout on Meta Quest 3

FitXR has unveiled its first Mixed Reality studio, Slam, which offers a gamified High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) experience on Meta Quest 3. Unlike previous FitXR offerings, Slam is an active game that adapts to the user's environment. The game has two modes: Timed Mode, where users hit as many cues as possible within a set time, and Survival Mode, a progressively more intense game where users have limited time and life. The game is designed for a 10ft x 10ft room and can be played with or without controllers. Slam is currently in beta, and FitXR is seeking user feedback for continuous improvement.

Zombie shooter Drop Dead is getting mixed reality mode on Quest 3

Developer studio Soul Assembly will introduce a new mixed reality mode called “Home Invasion” for the VR game Drop Dead: The Cabin. A video (see link in source) shows how the entire play area of a home environment is transformed into an XR shooting gallery, with zombies breaking in through virtual windows and doors. While the gameplay was recorded using a Quest Pro, the mode is said to be primarily designed for the Meta Quest 3 version of the game. A video of the Quest 3 pass-through quality was recently leaked. Drop Dead: The Cabin – Home Invasion will be released in October as a free update for the main game.
