Caviar is a Dubai-based brand that produces customizable luxury editions of iPhones, Apple Watches, and now Vision Pro.

The company today unveiled the Caviar Oracle, a luxury version of the Apple Vision Pro, which is crafted from genuine leather, gold, silver, and jewelry enamel, "combining elegance and tactile sophistication." Caviar describes the product as follows:

"The Light Seal and 3D audio headphones are wrapped in hand-stitched fine leather, providing an enhanced experience. The frame features 24-karat gold with intricate geometric patterns, while the head cushion is black, adding a refined look. Black enamel, silver, and gold details complete the luxurious aesthetic, leaving a lasting impression."

The luxury Vision Pro is limited to 49 units

To further ensure the exclusivity of the product, Caviar is produced in a limited edition of only 49 units, with options for personal engravings, logos, or symbols.

The entry-level price is $26,700 for 256GB of storage. The 1TB version costs $29,700, an upgrade surcharge that makes Apple seem generous. By comparison, a standard Apple Vision Pro retails for between $3,500 (256 GB option) and $3,900 (1 TB option) in the U.S.

What interests me is the weight of the Caviar Oracle. Weighing in at up to 650 grams, the Apple Vision Pro is not exactly a lightweight VR headset, and the added gold, silver, and leather should make the device even more heavy and uncomfortable than it already is.
