What you get from VR Optician
VR Optician produces prescription lens inserts for various VR headsets. The lenses support most current VR headsets such as Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Pico 4, Playstation VR 2 as well as older models such as Valve Index. They can be ordered as a pair or individually for each side. Lens powers between -16 and +10 diopters with cylinder values from -6 to +6 for astigmatism are available. The axis can be freely selected up to 180 degrees, and prism changes are also possible.
Optional extras include a hardened glass layer against scratches, super anti-reflective coating, a lotus effect layer for easy cleaning and ZEISS BlueProtect against blue-violet light rays. Carl Zeiss Vision manufactures the lenses before they are installed in the insert frames for the respective VR headset. Depending on the strength, prices vary from 49 euros for non-prescription lenses to around 260 euros.
In our VR Optician review, we found that the prescription lens inserts provide a significant increase in comfort. People who wear glasses no longer have to awkwardly adjust their headset under the VR headset. The lenses of the VR headset are also protected from scratches. Installation is straightforward thanks to instruction videos. The inserts fit securely, but can also be easily removed for cleaning.
