Meta and UFC announce a multi-year partnership

Meta and the UFC enter into a multi-year partnership that extends to Meta products such as Meta Quest.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Meta have announced a multi-year partnership. Meta will become the UFC's first official "Fan Technology Partner" and will contribute its full suite of products, from Meta Quest and Meta Glasses to Meta AI and the Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads apps. According to the UFC, Meta will also become the "Official AI Glasses Partner" and use its AI headsets at UFC events.
Further details of the collaboration will be announced in the coming months.
Better VR streams planned?
As part of Meta Quest, we could see an expansion of the UFC's existing VR offering. Meta has been offering monoscopic 180-degree broadcasts of UFC content on the Horizon Worlds and Xtadium VR apps since 2023. The offering is currently limited to the US. It could be expanded regionally as well as in terms of content and technology used.
The partnership is no coincidence: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is a UFC fan and competes in jiu-jitsu events. In January 2025, UFC boss Dana White was also appointed to Meta's board of directors.
