Zombie Army VR arrives this May on Meta Quest, PSVR 2 & PC-VR
The VR spin-off of the popular zombie shooter series will be released in May for Meta Quest, Playstation VR 2 and PC VR headsets.
The latest entry in the zombie-slaying franchise is headed to Meta Quest, Playstation VR 2, and PC VR headsets, bringing its signature undead-hunting action to virtual reality for the first time.
Rebellion has confirmed a May 22, 2025 release date for Zombie Army VR, which will launch simultaneously on Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest, and Steam VR platforms. The game marks the series' first foray into virtual reality, following Rebellion's successful VR adaptations of their Sniper Elite franchise with Sniper Elite VR and Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior.
Co-op mode, X-Ray Kill Cam and authentic weapons
Set before the events of Zombie Army 4, players join the elite Deadhunters squad as specialists in tracking down zombie war criminals. The story unfolds near the ruins of Nuremberg, where you'll assist the legendary Deadhunters commander in reuniting with their scattered family while working to liberate Europe from the undead menace.
The game brings several compelling features to VR, including full two-player online co-op support throughout the campaign. Players can expect authentic World War II weaponry, from sniper rifles to submachine guns, along with the series' signature X-Ray Kill Cam system reimagined for virtual reality. Character progression allows you to upgrade both your abilities and weapons, improving damage output, accuracy, and ammo capacity.
For the competitively minded, an arcade-style scoring system lets you measure your zombie-slaying prowess against other players. The game also includes ProTubeVR support for both Quest and PC VR versions, adding an extra layer of immersion for those with the hardware.
