12 new VR games to look forward to in April 2025

What VR and MR games are coming in April? Here are some of the most promising titles for all major platforms.
The following list is a subjective selection of games and is not exhaustive. Please note that some titles may be announced or postponed during the month.

TimeLab: LZ 129 Hindenburg DLC (April 1 for PC VR)
The time travel platform TimeLab will be expanded with its first paid DLC on April 1st.
The VR experience "LZ 129 Hindenburg" takes you inside the legendary zeppelin during its Atlantic crossing. You can explore the luxurious passenger decks with cocktail bar and smoking room, visit the pilot's gondola and experience a harbor tour of Manhattan above the skyscrapers. You will also witness the Hindenburg burst into flames as it crashed at Lakehurst in May 1937 in a tragic accident.
In addition to the immersive time travel experience, the DLC offers detailed background information on the history of the airship and a mini-game in which you steer the Hindenburg through the urban canyons of New York.

Pinball FX VR (April 3 for Meta Quest)
Indiana Jones, Star Wars and more: Zen Studios finally brings the million-selling pinball simulation to virtual and mixed reality with Pinball FX VR.
In the campaign mode, you must complete unique missions to unlock rewards. In addition to these challenges, there will also be a regular pinball mode with online leaderboards.
The base game comes with three tables, Sky Pirates: Treasures of the Clouds, Pinball Noir, and Curse of the Mummy. Players can also purchase additional classic Williams tables individually, including fan favorites like Indiana Jones, The Addams Family, World Cup Soccer, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. More tables featuring Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider, and Xena will be released after launch.

Stay: Forever Home (April 3 for Meta Quest)
Stay: Forever Home is a mixed reality pet simulation where you take care of the fantasy creature Ember. She has an AI personality, is aware of her surroundings and reacts to your affection.
Stay: Forever Home is being developed by new mixed reality studio Windup Minds, founded by Oculus veterans who created classic demos and tutorials (Dreamdeck, Farlands, Toybox, Bogo, First Steps and First Contact).

Wanderer: The Fragments Of Fate (April 3 for Meta Quest & Playstation VR 2)
The Fragments of Fate is a greatly expanded remake of the 2022 VR game Wanderer.
Players continue the time travels of Asher Neumann and visit various historical moments to fix anomalies in the timeline. The game features rich locations that allow interaction with famous personalities and significant historical events. It includes puzzles as well as action-oriented gameplay with stealth and platforming elements.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate can be added to your wishlist in the Horizon Store and Playstation Store. The PC VR version will be released at a later, as yet unannounced date.
Silent North (April 8 in Early Access for Meta Quest & PC VR)
Silent North is an open-world zombie survival game and the next project from Combat Waffle, the creators of Ghost of Tabor.
The title transports you to the infested Swiss Alps, where you'll battle the harsh elements, hordes of relentless zombies, and other desperate survivors for dwindling resources.

Beatable (April 10 for Meta Quest)
The hand-tracking rhythm game Beatable turns your table or any other suitable surface into a musical instrument. Set aside the controllers and tap, flick, and clap to the beat with just your hands.

Titanic VR (April 14 for Meta Quest 3/3S)
Titanic VR was originally released in 2018 for PC VR headsets and the first Playstation VR. Many years later, a version for Meta Quest 3 and 3S is coming.
The VR experience consists of two parts: a virtual dive in which you can freely explore the wreck, and a historical experience in which you relive the disaster from the perspective of a survivor in Lifeboat 6.
In the more extensive first part, you take on the role of Dr. Ethan Lynch, a marine archaeologist who travels by submarine to the wreck of the Titanic to investigate unresolved questions. The game allows for detailed exploration of the wreck, recovery of objects and special missions.

Eggy (April 17 for Meta Quest 3/3S)
Eggy is an MR pet simulation game in which you raise a little dragon and prepare it for life in the wild.
In Eggy, a dragon-like companion hatches from a mysterious glowing egg that you must raise from a fragile hatchling to a survivable creature. Your home becomes a bridge between two worlds: our reality and the Dragon Realm. An ancient book of wisdom reveals tips on caring for the creature and grants access to elemental teas and magical spells.
Every decision made in raising the dragon - from feeding it to training it to emotionally bonding with it - should affect its abilities and chances of survival in the Dragon Realm. The creature will respond to your interactions: It will purr, sing, or make sad sounds. Players can connect with the creature by singing, petting, or dancing.

Elements Divided (April 23 for Meta Quest & PC VR)
The multiplayer VR game lets you take control of water, earth, fire, and air as an elementalist.
The game is controlled by intuitive gestures that can be used to summon elemental forces such as water waves or stone barriers. Players can compete online or team up in co-op mode to battle waves of AI opponents in horde mode. A solo mode is also available. You can unlock new abilities by leveling up and customize your character's appearance with cosmetic items.

Ghost Town (April 24 for Meta Quest)
Ghost Town is the new VR game from Fireproof Games, the studio behind The Room VR: A Dark Matter.
In Ghost Town, you take on the role of Edith Penrose, a witch turned ghost hunter who runs a successful paranormal investigation agency.
Set in 1983, Edith roams London's eerie locales to track down and banish restless spirits. Her world is turned upside down when her brother disappears and a mysterious new lead promises clues to his whereabouts. Edith's journey begins with a visit to a remote Scottish island in the hope that a gifted psychic can provide some much-needed answers.
Using a combination of logic, mystical knowledge, and ancient magic, you must help Edith find her brother. The studio promises tactile puzzles, spells, and necromancy.

Vertigo 2: Into The Aether DLC (April 25 for PC-VR)
In the original Vertigo 2, Brian unwittingly aided the Void delegation's attempt to invade Earth. Now he is fighting them alongside the renegade Realmwalker Kauboi. With the delegation in disarray, Kauboi plans to launch a previously impossible rescue mission.
In Into the Aether, you will once again accompany Brian on an interdimensional expedition into the oldest and most mysterious universe. New weapons, tools and fearsome enemies await you. Collect Void artifacts to increase your power and unlock new paths.
You can purchase Vertigo 2 on Steam. The DLC will not come to the PSVR 2 version.
Secret of Antares (April 29 in Early Access for PC-VR)
Secret of Antares features an open world that can be freely explored using a jetpack. The studio describes the world simulation as follows:
"Embark on a breathtaking journey to the mysterious and uncharted planet orbiting the Antares star. Secrets of Antares is a groundbreaking VR game that combines unparalleled freedom, ultra-realistic graphics, and true open-world exploration."

Alex and the Jets (sometime in April for Quest 3/3S)
In Alex the Jets, you take on the role of Alex the squirrel and fly his plane through action-packed mixed reality aerial combat in the middle of your living room. Enemies appear directly in your environment, and you must dodge, shoot, and act strategically to survive.
Use donuts to earn valuable power-ups such as shields, poison and missiles to improve your chances in battle. In addition to the intense dogfighting, side quests await you with bouncing pumpkins, floating cheese and other surprises.
