VR treadmill Omni One gets its own travel app with world-famous sights

With Treks from Virtuix, you can experience the world's most famous sights in VR — on foot on the Omni One VR treadmill.
Want to hike the Grand Canyon without leaving your living room? Virtuix Studios is launching "Treks," a new VR tourism app designed exclusively for their Omni One VR treadmill that lets you explore world-famous landmarks on foot.
At launch, Treks will feature five iconic locations. You can wander the rim trails of the Grand Canyon, taking in views from its dramatic cliffs. In the Northeast, you can experience Niagara Falls from both sides of the border. The New York City experience lets you walk through Times Square's neon canyon, stroll Central Park's paths, and visit landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge.
The only destination outside North America available at launch is Saudi Arabia, where you can explore the historic Fort Masmak and Al-Rajhi Mosque. Virtuix plans to expand the collection over time through DLC, adding more landmarks, historical sites, and natural wonders.
There's a fitness angle too — Virtuix claims users burn around 500 calories per hour while hiking through these virtual destinations.
The $2,595 Question
Treks launches March 6, 2025, exclusively in the Omni One Game Store for $29.99. But to experience it, you'll need the Omni One VR treadmill system — a $2,595 investment that includes a modified Pico 4 Enterprise headset and access to Virtuix's game store. The 360-degree treadmill lets you physically walk and run in VR spaces, and also supports SteamVR games when connected to a PC.
The steep price point makes this clearly aimed at serious VR enthusiasts. However, Virtuix is building out their software library — they recently announced 15 new compatible titles, including Alvo VR, Sniper Elite VR, and Undead Citadel, bringing their total supported games to over 50.
