A developer named Mutar has been working on a VR mod for Starfield for almost a year now, and has just released a first version of his mod on Patreon.

The VR mod is based on Praydog's REFramework, which is the basis of the popular Resident Evil PC VR mods.

The Starfield VR mod supports full stereoscopic rendering and 6DoF head tracking, although motion controls are not yet implemented. The game is controlled with a gamepad and optional head movement aiming.

As is often the case with PC VR mods, the system requirements are rather high. Mutar is testing the mod with an RTX4090 and can play with DLSS at 3.3K x 3.3K resolution with all settings on high.

There is a YouTube video from VRified Games that shows the VR mod in action. However, it is over a month old and does not reflect the current state of the VR mod. More current VR videos should follow soon.

You can get access to the Starfield VR mod on Mutar's Patreon page. The membership costs 3 US dollars per month. The developer writes on Discord that he is also working on a VR mod for Alan Wake 2.
