7 VR games to look forward to in February 2025

What VR and MR games are coming in February? Here are some of the most promising titles for all major platforms.

The following list is a subjective selection of games and is not exhaustive. Please note that some titles may be announced or postponed during the month.

New releases are listed first. Games that are already available and will be released for new VR platforms are listed at the end of the article.

COLD VR (February 11th for Meta Quest & PC VR)

Cold VR was supposed to be released in January, but was pushed back to February.

Like Vendetta Forever and Action Hero, the game is inspired by the VR classic Superhot VR, with an interesting twist: Time only stands still as long as you move.

Cold VR is coming to the Horizon Store and to Steam. A version for Playstation VR 2 will be released at a later date.

Chronostrike (February 13th for Meta Quest)

Chronostrike is set in the year 2035. A new technology allows people to digitize their memories and live forever. The tech company responsible has become an empire with an iron grip on humanity. As an agent of Chronostrike, you take on the corrupt corporation.

Chronostrike is also inspired by Superhot VR, but unlike the original and its recent imitators, it features a co-op mode. The game is being developed by Green Sky Games (Swarm 1 & 2).

Voxel Project (February 14th for PC VR)

Voxel Project offers an immersive sandbox experience in a fully destructible voxel environment.

Explore a dynamic world full of vehicles, enemy NPCs, voxel gore, weapon customization and a host of other features.

All On Board! (February 27th for Meta Quest & PC-VR)

All on Board aims to be the best VR board game simulator and enable shared board game nights without any setup.

The game will offer a wide range of board games from different genres. In addition to classics like Chess and Checkers, the studio behind the game has licensed The Hunger, Escape The Dark Castle, The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, Istanbul, and Terraforming Mars. More titles will be added via updates after launch.

There will be both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, and solo players will also get their money's worth.

All on Board is coming to the Horizon Store and to Steam.

Crystal Commanders (February 27th for Meta Quest)

Crystal Commanders brings real-time strategy to your living room.

Join Castor and the other members of the Crystal Vanguard to drive back the Crimson Blade. Build a base and deploy powerful troops in a fully voiced campaign that adapts to your room. Local 1v1 multiplayer battles with multiple game modes are also supported.

Detective VR (February 27th for Meta Quest)

Detective VR is a mystery adventure game. You take on the role of an investigator and must collect evidence, assess witness statements, and interrogate suspects. The game uses hand tracking and mixed reality to blur the lines between the virtual and real worlds.

By manipulating time, you explore 13 different timelines that show events from different perspectives. Detective VR relies on volumetric characters embodied by a renowned ensemble of actors.

Farming Simulator VR (February 28th for Meta Quest)

A whole new experience awaits you in the official VR spin-off. You take control of agricultural machines from renowned manufacturers such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt and John Deere. From the detailed driver's cab, you can cultivate fields, grow and harvest various crops such as corn, wheat, and soybeans.

In addition to field work, greenhouse farming is also possible. Here you can plant and hand-pick vegetables ranging from tomatoes to strawberries.

VR games being released for new platforms

Alien: Rogue Incursion (February 13th for Meta Quest 3/3S)

Alien: Rogue Incursion is the first Alien game designed from the ground up for virtual reality.

You play as Zula Hendricks, a former member of the Colonial Marines who travels to the uncharted planet of Purdan with her synthetic companion, Davis 01. Once there, you infiltrate a research facility overrun by Xenopmorphs. Using tools such as the motion scanner and weapons such as the pulse rifle and shotgun, you must skillfully combine firepower and stealth to stand up to the aliens.
