Detective VR is a mixed reality game that lets you solve a crime right in your own living room.
Detective VR is a mystery adventure inspired by games like Return of the Obra Dinn and Immortality, with a narrative style reminiscent of the movie Minority Report.
You take on the role of an investigator and must collect evidence, assess witness statements, and interrogate suspects. The game uses hand tracking and mixed reality to blur the lines between the virtual and real worlds. By manipulating time, you explore 13 different timelines that show events from different perspectives.
Detective VR also relies on volumetric characters played by a renowned ensemble of actors. They were digitized in 3D for the game.
The cooperating development studios Chipo y Juan and Valem Studio have recently announced the release date. Detective VR will be released exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and 3S on February 27, 2025. You can add it to your wishlist on the Horizon Store.
The studio says the mixed reality game will have a playtime of about 4-6 hours.
