Shipping: Keys by e-mail, physical items by mail (address in USA, United Kingdom or Europe required. People from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are invited to participate in the parallel advent calendar on mixed.de).
Notes: If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and we will redraw the prize. The email address or postal address will only be used for the purpose of participation and for sending the prize. Any other use is excluded. All addresses will be deleted after the draw. What to expect in The 7th Guest VR
The 7th Guest VR is an atmospheric mystery adventure game that combines an exciting spooky story with tricky puzzles and atmospheric graphics. The VR remake of the CD-ROM classic from the 1990s was developed from scratch for virtual reality by Vertigo Studios (Arizona Sunshine 2).
At the beginning, you find yourself as a ghost in an old barge and have to row to a musty dock. A small island with a dilapidated manor house rises up in front of you. A ghostly child's voice from the afterlife accompanies you up the path to the mansion while you light the way with a lantern.
During the course of the game, you will learn more about the toymaker Henry Stauf, who has invited six mysterious guests to his home. They keep appearing before you like ghosts, gradually giving you an insight into the events of the past. The guests are real actors captured with volumetric cameras - a rare technique in VR games that fits perfectly with the ghost story.
Even though the eerie atmosphere will give you goosebumps, The 7th Guest is more of a dark ghost story than a horror game. There was no violence, attacks or shock effects in the first sections of the game. Adventure and mystery fans can look forward to an atmospheric VR experience that is also suitable for gentler minds.
The 7th Guest VR has been available for Meta Quest, Playstation VR 2 and PC VR headsets on Steam since October 2023. The price is $29.99.
