Exclusively for Meta Quest 3: Top VR studio announces mixed reality sports game
Resolution Games announces "Home Sports" — the first mixed reality sports game exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
VR studio Resolution Games has announced its latest game "Home Sports", which will soon be released exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Home Sports is a collection of five sports that can be played in mixed reality for the first time: Pickleball, Hockey, Bowling, Miniature Golf and Badminton.
According to Resolution Games CEO Tommy Palm, the goal is to create a game that creates real connections between people, encourages physical activity and, most importantly, is fun. Home Sports will focus on these aspects and take full advantage of the mixed reality capabilities of Meta Quest 3.
The sports in Home Sports adapt seamlessly to your personal play area. You can move freely around the room to hit the badminton shuttlecock or run around the miniature golf course — just like in real life.
In addition to a local multiplayer mode, there will also be the option to play online with friends and family. No word yet on when Home Sports for Meta Quest 3 will be released.
Resolution Games: Extensive experience in competitive VR gaming
Founded in 2015 and based in Stockholm and Austin, Resolution Games has established itself as an important VR studio in recent years. Their most popular titles include Demeo, Blaston, Ultimechs and Acron: Attack of the Squirrels.
Recently, Resolution Games also released the VR adapted tennis game Racket Club. Tomislav was enthusiastic about his review and came to the following verdict:
"The ball physics and overall feel are great, and the matches are short and intense. Racket Club is easy to learn but difficult to master, making it suitable for beginners as well as competitive players - assuming there is enough room to play."
