FACTS

Developer Polyarc has announced free updates with visual enhancements and new gameplay features for its VR games Moss and Moss: Book II. The updates will be released alongside the new Meta Quest 3S VR headset on 15 October.

Moss has not been optimized since its original standalone release on the Oculus Quest, and will take full advantage of the Quest 3 and 3S hardware with the upcoming update. According to Polyarc, the game will be rendered at 150 percent of its original resolution. This has corrected the color display and created parity with the PC version. Polyarc has significantly improved many of the visual effects, including realistic water and animated book pages.

As a new gameplay feature, the update introduces the ability to skip battles in both games. You can choose to skip all battles or just some. According to Josh Stiksma, Design Director at Polyarc, this should improve the experience for those who are not used to or do not enjoy combat.
