Steelseries Arctis Nova 5P Wireless: Review in a nutshell
The Bluetooth connection between the Arctis Nova 5P and the Quest 3 works perfectly. Pairing is quick and easy, so you're up and running in seconds. And there are no noticeable delays in sound transmission. Whether you're watching videos, playing your favorite games, or using voice chat, the picture, and sound are always in sync.
The Arctis Nova 5P also has nothing to hide when it comes to sound. Although the sound cannot be optimized via the Steelseries software due to the lack of support on the Quest 3, the headset still delivers a convincing performance. It produces a spacious and detailed sound, especially in the highs and mids. Although the bass could be a bit stronger, the Arctis Nova 5P definitely enhances your overall VR experience.

Features and Specifications
First, let's take a look at the technical details of the Steelseries Arctis Nova 5P Wireless. In addition to the headset itself, you get a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, a USB-A to USB-C extension cable, the 2.4 GHz radio transmitter and a user manual. You can also purchase an optional stabilizing headband, but this is not necessary.
In terms of technology, the Arctis Nova 5P has a lot to offer. The built-in 40 mm drivers cover a frequency range of 20 to 22,000 Hz and the sound pressure level is 98 dBSPL. In addition to Bluetooth 5.3, there is a 2.4 GHz radio and a cable for connecting to your end devices. According to the manufacturer, the range of the wireless connection is up to 10 meters, which worked reliably in our test.
Workmanship, Comfort and Operation
There is nothing to criticize about the workmanship of the Arctis Nova 5P. Of course, most of the housing is made of plastic, but this is normal for a headset in this price range. Overall, the headset makes a stable and durable impression. At 267 grams, it is pleasantly light, and the soft ear pads provide a comfortable fit even during longer gaming sessions. Thanks to the flexible headband, the Arctis Nova 5P adapts to different head shapes and always sits securely without pinching.
Operation is easy, too. The left earcup features a volume control wheel and microphone mute button. When not in use, the microphone can simply be pushed into the housing, a practical and elegant solution. There is also a multi-function button on the right that lets you control the Bluetooth connection.
Sound, microphone and battery
The 40mm drivers and the wide frequency range have a positive effect. The Arctis Nova 5P delivers a clear, dynamic and spacious sound, with vocals and high frequencies reproduced with great accuracy. In addition, external noise is effectively shielded thanks to the closed design. Only the bass could have used a little more oomph — but the bass performance is certainly sufficient for gaming.
Steelseries also did a good job with the microphone. It has a cardioid pickup pattern that filters out ambient noise and transmits your voice clearly. Another handy feature is the built-in LED that lets you know when you are muted.
The Arctis Nova 5P has a long battery life. According to the manufacturer, it can last up to 60 hours when using the Bluetooth connection and 50 hours in 2.4 GHz mode.
Verdict: A more than solid headset for the Quest 3
After our test, we can recommend the Steelseries Arctis Nova 5P Wireless with a clear conscience to anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset for the Meta Quest (3). The Bluetooth connection with the VR headset works flawlessly and without any annoying latency. The headset also impresses with its clean sound, above-average microphone quality, and well-thought-out features such as the retractable microphone.
Even if the RRP of $129.99 doesn't seem low at first glance, you're getting an all-round successful product that will give you a lot of pleasure when gaming and in VR worlds. And thanks to the long battery life and high-quality workmanship, the Arctis Nova 5P should last you a long time.
