Asgard's Wrath 2: New Cosmic Event pits you against dark creatures in eternal night
A curse has darkened the land in Meta's AAA role-playing game, Asgard's Wrath 2, and you must end the night to unlock unique seasonal rewards.
In Asgard's Wrath 2, the latest "Cosmic Event" called "Curse of the Endless Night" has begun today. A curse has plunged Egypt into eternal darkness, and evil forces are gathering under the cover of darkness to bring disaster to the land. It is up to you to break the curse and drive the bloodthirsty invaders back to the shadow world from which they came.
By completing the following objectives and challenges in the event, you will earn unique seasonal rewards:
- Destroy a cursed soul near the Valley of Bones
- Defeat the infested predators that appear in the Dead Expanse
- Slay the rampaging Nile crocodiles that invade Muspelheim due to the eclipse
- Hunt down and kill a Hermathur
- Defeat the Apex Predators before they dominate the creatures of the world
Rewards include armor inspired by the Egyptian god of darkness, Apep, which appears to be forged from the scales of the giant serpent. Also, three chaos-infused weapons, an Aztec armor, and snake-like cosmetic items.
Incentive to play regularly
With Cosmic Events, developer studio Sanzaru Games is constantly adding new content to Asgard's Wrath 2 to keep the community engaged. Some events also include mixed reality challenges that blend the game world with the player's real world environment.
Completely new content such as special missions or zones can also be integrated into the game this way. The last major event, Doomsday Legion, was launched in May of this year. Recently, the developers also released the long-awaited Quest 3 texture pack, which was designed to adapt Asgard's Wrath 2 to the graphics power of Meta's latest VR headset.
