HTC gives away a set of accessories to make the Vive XR Elite more comfortable to wear

HTC Vive has announced the release of the "VIVE XR Elite Deluxe Pack". This is a set of four new accessories designed to improve the ergonomics and comfort of the VR headset.
New buyers and existing owners of the Vive XR Elite can request the Deluxe Pack free of charge during the promotional period from June 3 to July 3, 2024 via the VIVE website by registering their device with the serial number. We have included the link in the source information below.
The Deluxe Pack consists of the following accessories:
- VIVE Face Gasket 2.0 for XR Series: Provides a snug fit, evenly distributes pressure around the eyes, and reduces light penetration for an optimal immersive experience.
- VIVE MR Gasket for XR Series: Fits comfortably to the forehead, provides adequate ventilation and expands the peripheral field of vision for an excellent mixed reality experience.
- VIVE Deluxe Strap for XR Series: Distributes the weight of the headset evenly across the front and back, making it feel lighter and more stable when moving.
- VIVE Temple Clips for XR Series: Ensures a secure connection of the battery holder.

HTC Vive focuses on comfort improvements
The announcement of the free accessory pack is likely to please many users who have experienced comfort issues with the Vive XR Elite. In our review of the Vive XR Elite, Ben complained about a slippery back of the head mount and a tight, stiff face mask that can become uncomfortable after about 30 minutes of use.
With the new accessories, HTC Vive seems to have responded to these shortcomings. In particular, the improved face and forehead seals, as well as the deluxe strap, should provide a much more even weight distribution and a more comfortable fit.
