VR arcade basketball Blacktop Hoops for Quest 3 & PC-VR is leaving Early Access

Blacktop Hoops takes off: VR arcade basketball coming soon as a full version for Meta Quest and SteamVR.

FACTS

Blacktop Hoops is set to make the leap out of Early Access this spring and will be released as a full version for Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro and on SteamVR. The arcade basketball game lets you perform dribble combos and breathtaking dunks in VR, and is one of the most popular VR games in Meta's App Lab.

In the campaign, you play on eight different courts around the world, take on iconic bosses, and rise from a local phenomenon to a streetball legend. The courts are located in cities like Oakland, Los Angeles, New York and Athens.

You create your own avatar and customize your headgear, hair, shoes, tops, shorts and various accessories. In addition to the campaign, there are various game modes such as skill training and PvP online matches against friends.

Developer Vinci Games promises a "cinematic narrative with top-notch voice acting" and cutscenes to drive the story forward. The characters in Blacktop Hoops will be voiced by Dante Basco (Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender), Daniel Amerman (Ezreal in League of Legends), Bobbito Garcia (NBA Street Series) and Renee Montgomery (WNBA All-Star), among others.
