Apple Vision Pro costs up to $3,900 and weighs up to 650 grams
Pre-orders for the Vision Pro are now open and there's a lot of new information about the device.
Vision Pro has been available for pre-order in the US since this morning, and according to early reports, the first batch sold out within an hour. It is not known how many units Apple had ready for launch, but one supply chain analyst estimated 60,000 to 80,000 units.
All three storage models are currently only available starting in March. The official launch date is February 2.

Price of the storage models
Apple has announced the prices for all three storage models:
- $3500 for 256 GB of storage
- $3700 for 512 GB of storage
- $3900 for 1 TB of storage
Weight
The weight is now also known:
- Vision Pro weighs between 21.2 and 22.9 ounces, or 600 and 650 grams, depending on which light seal and headband you have.
- The external battery weighs 353 grams
For comparison:
- Meta Quest 2 weighs 503 grams
- Meta Quest 3 weighs 515 grams
- Meta Quest Pro weighs 722 grams
- Playstation VR 2 weighs 560 grams
It is important to note that weight alone does not determine comfort. Other factors such as weight distribution also play an important role.
