New VR accessories for Meta Quest 2 announced
Razer enters the VR market with a head strap and face pad for the Meta Quest 2.
Razer sells computers, headphones, mice, and even clothing. Now the manufacturer also enters the VR accessories market. The company recently announced a head strap and face pad for the Meta Quest 2 (Review). These accessories are only available in the US for the time being. However, the company has plans for releasing them outside of the US as well.
Both products list at $70 each with similar prices expected in future markets. Comparable accessories from lesser-known brands start at around $20. In terms of cost, the products are in a similar range to official Meta accessories.
Razer accessories for Quest 2: First opinions are mixed
Early feedback from testers describes the head strap as comfortable and slightly less bulky than Meta's Elite Strap, but the Elite Strap is more stable.
The jury is still out on the face pad. While some say it is comfortable and blocks light better than the Quest 2's original face pad, others think there is no difference or feel that the air circulation is slightly worse.
