nDreams adds social hub to VR shooter Frenzies and reveals roadmap

The vibrant multiplayer VR shooter Frenzies just got more social with nDreams' latest update.
The "Hangar Update" introduces a new community space where players can hang out with friends, shoot some hoops, and jump into matches together. The newly added hangar serves as a social hub that will continue expanding with future content drops.
Along with this addition, the update brings a revamped Throne Room, weapon rebalancing, and various quality-of-life improvements to smooth out the player experience.
Looking ahead, nDreams has major plans for Frenzies. Players can expect an XP progression system with rewards, an in-game store, additional match types, new arenas, and more cosmetic items to customize their experience.

A fresh take on arena shooters
Frenzies, available for Playstation VR 2 and Meta Quest, drops players into a neon-soaked world of chaotic multiplayer action. Each match consists of five rounds with randomly selected game modes and arenas, ensuring no two matches play out the same way.
The game mixes up solo and team-based modes, having players cooperate with friends one moment and turn against them the next in frantic free-for-all combat. Drawing inspiration from classic arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, Frenzies aims to strike a balance between pick-up-and-play accessibility and depth for VR shooter veterans.
While nDreams has built its 15-year reputation on VR titles like Fracked, Synapse, Vendetta Forever, Phantom: Covert Ops, and Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, the studio has recently faced challenges. Despite investments and an acquisition by Aonic, the company has had to scale back operations and reduce its workforce.
