Bad news for Quest fans: Alien Rogue Incursion delayed
If you want to play Alien: Rogue Incursion this year, you'll have to switch to the PC VR or Playstation VR 2 version. The Quest version has been delayed.
Survios is delaying the Quest version of Alien: Rogue Incursion until early 2025. The VR-exclusive game will still be released for PC VR and Playstation VR 2 on December 19, 2024.
The studio writes on X:
"At Survios, we pride ourselves on delivering a world-class gaming experience to our players. To ensure that Alien: Rogue Incursion meets these high standards and delivers the Alien VR experience that fans and players expect, we have made the difficult decision to delay the game's release on meta platforms until early next year. The Playstation VR2 and Steam versions of the game will still be released on December 19, 2024."

What is Alien: Rogue Incursion?
Alien: Rogue Incursion is the first Alien game designed from the ground up for virtual reality. Visually, it is based on the retro-future of the two original films, with CRT monitors and analog equipment such as the motion tracker.
You take on the role of soldier Zulu Hendricks, who embarks on a dangerous rescue mission with her synthetic companion Davis 01. You will encounter xenomorphs that use the environment for surprise attacks. The dynamic combat reacts to the player's movements and noises, so silence is crucial for survival. Using tools such as a motion scanner and weapons such as a pulse rifle and shotgun, players must skillfully combine firepower and stealth to hold their own against the aliens.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is one of the few VR games optimized exclusively for Quest 3 and 3S and will not be available on older Quest headsets.
