You can already play Star Wars Outlaws in VR thanks to a mod
VR modder Luke Ross brings Star Wars Outlaws to PC VR headsets. His VR mod requires a Patreon membership.
Star Wars Outlaws has recently become playable in VR. With the latest R.E.A.L. VR mod (13.0.0.), the open-world game can be experienced with 6DoF head tracking and stereoscopy.
Luke Ross stronly recommends playing with the gamepad. VR controllers are not supported and problems can occur with a mouse and keyboard. Ross uses the Ubisoft+ version of the game, but other versions should work too. Alternatively, you can switch to a virtual 2D screen at any time at the touch of a button if the VR mode becomes too strenuous.
The game is played with the gamepad, motion controls are not supported.
To experience Star Wars Outlaws in VR, you will need a PC, a PC VR compatible headset, the original PC game, and a Patreon membership with Luke Ross ($10).

Star Wars: Outlaws was released on August 30th, 2024 for Playstation, Xbox and PC. It received mixed reviews, with an average score of 75 out of 100 according to Metacritic.

Luke Ross' AAA VR mods
Luke Ross is known for his R.E.A.L. VR mods that have made major titles like GTA 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Horizon Zero Dawn, various Far Cry games, Hogwarts Legacy, both Marvel's Spider-Man games, Uncharted 4, Watch Dogs, Ghost of Thushima and many more playable on PC VR headsets.
In an interview with MIXED, Ross said that the VR market needed to evolve along familiar gaming paradigms first. For him, that means gamepad VR. He described the introduction of VR controllers as a mistake for the industry, as it required developers to adapt to a whole new way of interacting, which discouraged many studios from jumping on the VR bandwagon.
His VR mods weren't always well received. In 2022, he was forced by Take-Two to remove all VR mods for the publisher's games. This included popular VR mods for GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Mafia Definitive Edition.
