SteamVR: New PC VR games coming in September 2024

What new games are coming to PC VR in September? The following titles are announced.

The titles are listed in chronological order by release date and accompanied by an official game description.

The following list is not necessarily complete. Some VR games are announced or postponed during the month.

Chernobyl Again (September 12)

"Chernobyl Again is an adventure game created for Virtual Reality headsets taking place in the 3D-scanned Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for a more immersive and engaging experience. You’ll get the chance to explore the Zone, feel its dark atmosphere, and follow the plot full of unexpected twists via different kinds of puzzles, you’ll get to solve while traveling through space and time. Your main goal will be to stop the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant explosion, and the consequences we know it brought not only to our timeline but also to alternative futures that became available to us thanks to your time traveling discovery."

Chernobyl Again is coming to Steam.

The VR game will be released simultaneously on the Horizon Store, Pico Store and Playstation Store for Playstation VR 2.

Frenzy Extinction (September 12)

„The Frenzy Virus has mutated, unleashing a new wave of chaos. You and your team must now confront hordes of "The Ridden" in Frenzy Extinction. Immerse yourself in a fast-paced, action-packed VR experience where survival hinges on your ability to adapt, upgrade, and overpower relentless enemies.“

Frenzy Extinction is coming to Steam.

Mannequin (September 12)

"Two elite Agents hunt for Mannequins - shape-shifting aliens hiding in plain sight and blending in by posing as human statues.

They ambush unsuspecting Agents, freezing them in place with a single touch. Agents use cutting edge tech to scan for Mannequins, then shooting to kill. They must decipher friend from foe. Hit a human and their gun jams, leaving them vulnerable. Last team standing wins in this frantic game of cat and mouse."

Mannequin is leaving Early Access on Steam and simultaneously on the Horizon Store.

Neon Squad Tactics (September 17)

Subside (September 17)

The Mixologist (September 19)

Virtual Driving School (September 30)

"Get ready to put your driving ability to the test! Learn the basics in the car park and then prove your skills on the road. Control your speed and respond correctly to hazards to gather maximum points!

Virtual Driving School is a serious, skills-based game that gives players tips on how to become safer drivers, in a hyper-real, virtual environment. Modelled around a ‘Sim City’- style simulated world, you can visit city streets and highways.
