FACTS

Sightful launches the Spacetop G1, which it claims is the first commercially available augmented reality laptop. It is designed to give users a 100-inch virtual workspace that fits into a backpack.

When paired with an AR headset, the Spacetop G1 provides an expansive multi-monitor virtual setup that can be anchored in the user's field of view. The AR headset is permanently connected to a laptop, which serves as the playback device.

According to Sightful, the key features of the Spacetop G1 include

  • Integrated, well-protected Xreal Light AR glasses for maximum portability
  • Comfortable and auto-darkening AR lenses for extended wear
  • Advanced performance and productivity features such as 7-hour battery life, Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset, 90Hz refresh rate, and AI capabilities
  • 100-inch virtual workspace for increased productivity

More details on the specifications can be found in this article and on the Sightful's website. The Spacetop G1 is an improved and commercially available version of Spacetop EA, which was previously only available in limited quantities through an early access program. Spacetop G1 can be reserved for $100 on Sightful's website and will ship later this year for $1,900.
