Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street launches today on PSVR 2
From Meta Quest to PlayStation VR 2, Thief Simulator VR comes to your living room with improved graphics and more missions.
Polish studio 3R Games is bringing its VR game Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street to Playstation VR 2, with a release scheduled for today, the developer has announced.
The PSVR 2 version features 12 story missions and 35 side missions in Greenview Street. Thanks to the more powerful hardware, players can look forward to improved graphics and dynamic shadows. The richer environment with more vegetation and larger parcels of land should also provide more immersion.
Thief Simulator: Popular on Meta Quest
Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street was originally released on July 7, 2022, for Meta Quest 2 and has since become one of the top 50 best-selling games on the platform. With over 2,100 reviews and a positive rating of 85 percent, the title has sold over 250,000 copies to date.
You take on the role of a burglar who secretly carries out jobs in an open-world city. Using an arsenal of tools such as lock picks, crowbars, and hacking devices, you will explore different ways to remain undetected and evade the police as you plan and execute heists.
Investigation and planning are as important to a successful burglary as the crime itself. You need to find out who the residents are, what their routines are, when they are out, whether there are nosy neighbors, and what loot is in the house.
Using the income from successful raids, you can buy better equipment and later on, you can hack alarm systems, cut glass and steal cars.
Recently, 3R Games released a free introductory chapter called Thief Simulator VR: Prologue for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro, which teaches the basics of the game.
