HTC unveils Vive XR Elite Business Edition & AI tools for Viverse
HTC's new business offer around the Vive XR Elite is set to save companies up to 15,000 dollars. There are also new AI tools and accessories for location-based VR.
At Mobile World Congress 2024, HTC introduced the Vive XR Elite Business Edition, a hardware and software bundle designed specifically for businesses. The Vive XR Elite Business Edition supports the Location Based Software Suite (LBSS) and Vive Business+.
There are new accessories for the Business Edition, including a new face pad and headband optimized for frequent user changes. Safety clips for the frames are also available to prevent accidental removal of the battery holder. HTC is targeting the use of VR in cultural and educational institutions, as well as location-based VR experiences.
Various updates and new starter pack
HTC Vive has also introduced a Viverse Starter Pack for businesses. The package includes three months of Viverse for Business, ten Vive XR Elite Business Edition headsets with a free Vive Business Warranty, and free access to Vive Business+ for fleet management and content delivery. According to HTC, this will save businesses more than $12,000, and more than $15,000 for a package of 20 VR headsets.
Viverse is also getting a major feature update with new AI tools, support for the new Vive Ultimate Tracker and Full Face Tracker. A personal AI voice assistant will help with productivity tasks such as note-taking and calendar entries. Speech-to-text transcription and real-time translation in eight languages will also be available in the future.
Stronger VR business focus at HTC
HTC Vive is increasingly becoming a business product. At last year's Mobile World Congress, HTC unveiled comprehensive business solutions based on XR Elite and Viverse. Vive's location-based software suite was also used to create the first zero-gravity VR system. A customized Vive Focus 3 is being used as a fitness device for astronauts on the ISS in combination with a special ergometer.
