Apple Vision Pro: First 3D movies appear on Apple TV

Apple is listing the first 3D movies for Vision Pro on the Apple TV app. Which titles are these?

At the Vision Pro launch at this year's WWDC, Apple showed off some of the VR/AR headset's entertainment features. The focus was on a virtual movie screen that will be able to show 3D movies and documentaries. The first 3D movies have now appeared in the Apple TV app.

Apple TV supports 3D movies for Vision Pro

According to FlatpanelsHD, the redesigned Apple TV app in the tvOS 17.2 version now supports 3D movies. In addition, 3D movies will appear with a 3D logo that resembles the shape of the Apple Vision Pro.

The resolution or refresh rate of the 3D movies is currently unknown. The movie "Avatar: The Way of the Water" which was shown at the launch of the Vision Pro, and its two predecessors, are still missing, but other blockbusters like "Jurassic World: Dominion" are included.

Apple originals like the previously announced 3D show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters are also absent.
