VR MMORPG Zenith: The Last City will get a new PvP mode with the next update Skyward Summit, which will introduce one-on-one battles and team duels.
The VR MMORPG Zenith: The Last City takes you to a vast, open world full of adventure and magic. Soon, the VR game will have even more to offer, as developers:inside of Ramen VR have announced that they will be introducing PvP battles with the next major content update. The update, called Skyward Summit, is scheduled for release on May 11, 2023 for PC VR, Meta Quest 2, and PSVR 2.
New Class Announced
In PvP mode, you can test your skills in solo and team duels. Not only will you be able to fight as a Blade Master or Essence Mage, but you will also be able to choose the brand new Cyber Ninja class.
As these, you will compete with futuristic weapons and abilities. In addition to the PvP mode, the update introduces other new features such as housing, resource gathering, and crafting.
How does the PvP mode work in Zenith: The Last City?
PvP mode in Zenith: The Last City is optional. This way, the game remains primarily a PvE experience, and you don't have to worry about being attacked by other players in the middle of your quests.
To participate in a duel, you must accept or issue a challenge. This can be a one-on-one match or a team duel.
You will fight in arenas designed specifically for PvP. The arenas are modeled after the different regions of the game world and feature different environments and obstacles. Before the duel, you can prepare for the fight by customizing your equipment and skills.

Fights are timed and end either when one of the fighters is defeated or when a time limit expires. Victory is rewarded in the form of experience, reputation, or items.
For now, PvP is limited to one-on-one and team duels, but the developers are considering more options for PvP in the future. These could include larger battles, ladders, or tournaments.
Great success of the game makes further innovations likely
Zenith: The Last City is probably one of the most popular VR games. It broke charts when it was released in January 2022. So it's no wonder that investors are showing great interest in the game, with $35 million going to Ramen VR in the first round of funding.
The Skyward Summit update is the third major content update for Zenith: The Last City. The success of the game suggests that there will be many more updates to come.
