Zombie Army VR: New trailer gives a glimpse of the gruesome campaign
In Zombie Army VR, you are a Deadhunter fighting your way through hordes of the undead to free Europe from the zombie apocalypse. A new story trailer gives you a first glimpse.
Publisher Rebellion has released a new trailer that gives a taste of the story campaign in Zombie Army VR. The game is being developed in collaboration with XR Games and is the first VR spin-off of the Zombie Army franchise.
In Zombie Army VR, you take on the role of a Deadhunter, an elite unit that hunts both zombies and war criminals. The campaign takes place at the same time as the events of the Zombie Army series. Players will fight their way through hordes of the undead near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg and help Hermann Wolff, the legendary leader of the Deadhunters, find his scattered family and rid Europe of the zombie apocalypse.
You can play the story-based campaign alone or in co-op mode with two players. The game features an arsenal of authentic World War II weapons, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, and handguns. Use them in battles against different types of zombies such as armored giants, suiciders and sniper zombies.
Rebellion expands its VR portfolio
The first VR spin-off of the Zombie Army franchise was announced just in time for the Playstation VR 2's first birthday in February 2024, and will be released later this year for PSVR 2, Meta Quest 3, 2, Pro, and PC VR via Steam. Rebellion has already experience porting its brands to virtual reality with Sniper Elite VR and Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior.
In these games, players take on the role of an Italian freedom fighter battling Nazis in a World War II setting. The core gameplay consists of sneaking and shooting, with you deciding whether to be silent or offensive.
