Meta Quest: VR multiplayer game Stabby turns you into knife-wielding assassins
The VR multiplayer game Stabby is released today for Meta Quest and lets you outdo your opponents in intense matches.
Publisher Rogue Games recently announced via a trailer that Stabby will be released for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro on July 25. Developed by Soaring Roc Studio, the VR game pits up to six players against each other in multiplayer matches and promises intense stealth gameplay in which you become knife-wielding assassins.
Stabby turns you into VR assassins
According to the developers, stabbing targets is at the heart of the gameplay. The controls are designed to be immersive and allow you to climb buildings, jump through the city and fall from rooftops. Stabby offers three multiplayer modes: Classic, King of the Hill and Stab Tag. There are also five single-player challenges designed to serve as training for the multiplayer mode.
Each level has a three-star rating system. The less time you need, the better your rating. You also have to be as creative as possible when wiping out your targets. Soaring Roc Studio relies on physics-based game mechanics and movements that should be easy to learn but difficult to master.
Puzzles and hidden content
Avatars and weapons are customizable, but exclusive skins will only be available for the most skilled players. The developers have also integrated Easter eggs and hidden codes into Stabby. If you find any, you have to enter them on the PIN pad hidden in the multiplayer lobby. This will activate special room functions or unlock special cosmetics, for example.
Soaring Roc Studio's aim is to make the world of Stabby feel alive and evolving. The game world should be full of secrets and background stories that encourage the community to explore and participate.
