VR horror game Out of Sight offers a unique perspective change that will give you the chills

In Out of Sight, you experience VR horror from a unique perspective: you see the world through the eyes of a teddy bear and have to protect a blind girl.
Imagine playing a horror game where you're not the victim or the monster — you're a stuffed animal trying to save a blind child. That's the premise of Out of Sight, an upcoming atmospheric horror title that puts you in the fuzzy body of a teddy bear protecting Sophie, a blind girl trapped in a mansion straight out of your worst nightmares.
Instead of the usual first-person perspective, you navigate the world through the eyes of Sophie's teddy bear, strategically positioning yourself throughout the mansion to guide her to safety. One wrong move — like leading her onto a creaky floorboard — could spell disaster. As you progress, you'll uncover the mansion's dark history and the tragic events that transformed it into a house of horrors.
The developers at The Gang aren't just aiming for jump scares. They describe Out of Sight as an exploration of psychological discomfort, where the line between reality and illusion becomes "thin as paper" and your senses can't always be trusted.
VR adaptation announced
While the base game is headed to PC and PlayStation, Flat2VR Studios recently announced at the VR Games Showcase that they're developing a virtual reality version. "Out of Sight VR" will debut on Steam VR before making its way to Playstation VR 2 and Meta Quest.
If you're curious about the base game, there's already a free demo available to try. Flat2VR Studios, which grew out of a modding community known for bringing PC hits and retro games to VR, is also working on adapting the controversial shooter Postal 2 for virtual reality.
