What awaits you in Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire
In this VR game from Schell Games, you take on the role of a vampire hunter. Your mission: eliminate a powerful vampire clan before the undead awaken. Since the bloodsuckers are too dangerous to attack directly, you must sneak up on them in their coffins while they sleep.
But that's easier said than done: each coffin is secured with locks, nails, and magical barriers. You have to get past these obstacles with a sure instinct and as quietly as possible. Once you have gained access to the sleeping vampire, bind him with a ritual and drive a wooden stake through his heart.
A mysterious book serves as your guide. The mysterious client, who speaks to you through the book, introduces you to the art of killing vampires silently. Starting with the lowliest bloodsucker, you work your way up, coffin by coffin, to the head of the clan. With each opponent, the coffins become more cleverly secured and the challenge greater.
Silent Slayer scores with a new gameplay concept that relies on surgical interaction with objects. This requires concentration and precision and is not always an advantage: if you fail, it can be frustrating to have to fight your way through all the obstacles again. High production values, a thrilling storyline and the satisfying feeling of dealing the deathblow to the vampire make up for this.
A mixed reality mode allows the coffins to appear in the real environment. This allows you to turn your home into a lair for the undead. Silent Slayer is available for PC-VR via Steam, Meta Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3S in the Horizon Store.
