FACTS

According to a developer post from FitXR, the studio is introducing a new season system for its VR fitness app with "Season 1: Arcadia". The first season is designed as a three-month fitness challenge with new training environments, rewards, and challenges.

New moves and challenges

The update is available now to all subscribers and includes the new training location "The Deck". Monorail, Glacier, and Helios will follow in the coming months.

Two new challenges will be released each day. Complete 20 each month and unlock new workouts, cosmetic rewards, environments and more. You can also unlock new moves such as Sidestep, Crouch and Jump by completing regular challenges.

FitXR promises regular content updates and new challenges for the community with the Seasons system. Each season will have its own theme and exclusive content.

CONTEXT

Comprehensive VR fitness offering with subscription

FitXR has established itself as one of the leading players in the VR fitness sector. The app offers different types of training, such as boxing, martial arts, HIIT, sculpting and dance. New classes are added every week, led by virtual trainers.

I tried FitXR for a year. The app stands out from other VR fitness offerings because of its regular updates and variety of training options. The range of special classes for people with physical disabilities, led by experienced trainers such as professional wrestler Zion Clark, is also worth noting.

Those who train on Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S can also use FitXR in mixed reality. In the summer, the studio released a major update that overhauled FitXR's VR environments.
