VR blockbuster Skydance's Behemoth delayed to December
Skydance Interactive announces that the highly anticipated VR action-adventure Skydance's Behemoth will be delayed until early December.
During Meta Connect 2024, where the new Meta Quest 3S VR headset was also unveiled, developer Skydance Interactive announced that the release of Skydance's Behemoth will be delayed. The game was originally scheduled for release in November, but the new release date is now set for December 5.
In a statement to UploadVR, the studio also explains that the additional development time will be used to put the finishing touches on the game. The goal is to make Skydance's Behemoth one of the best VR games of the year.
The action-adventure game will be available for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, PlayStation VR 2 and PC-VR via SteamVR. It will cost $39.99 and is available for pre-order now.
Climb, fight and survive in a post-apocalyptic world
The game is being developed by Skydance Interactive, the creators of the award-winning VR hit The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and its sequel, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners — Chapter II: Retribution. Like the zombie survival hit, Skydance's Behemoth features a physics-based combat system that requires skill and quick reactions.
You take on the role of Wren, a hunter who roams the cursed wastelands in search of the eponymous behemoths. Killing these giant monsters could break the curse that plagues Wren's village.
To defeat the giant creatures, you will need to be agile and use your climbing skills. Not only will you have to avoid the behemoths, but you will also have to keep marauding bandits and other enemies at bay.
