Yesterday, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo unveiled a headset that looks a lot like the Apple Vision Pro.

From the visor to the face pad to the headband to the external battery: Vivo Vision is a design rip-off, and is even sharing the same name as Apple's mixed reality headset.

Apart from the design, not much is known about the headset. For now, we can only speculate about the specifications, the operating system, and whether the device works at all or is just a dummy. The Vivo Vision is expected to hit the Chinese market in mid-2025.

Other products inspired by Vision Pro

Other upcoming headsets also take inspiration from the design of the Apple Vision Pro.

Samsung's upcoming Project Moohan mixed reality headset looks like a cross between the Apple Vision Pro and the Quest Pro, and also relies on a similarly shaped external battery.

The Play for Dream MR mixed reality headset also takes visual cues from Apple, while HTC's latest device may not look like the Apple Vision Pro, but has been given a name that is meant to evoke associations with it: HTC Vive Focus Vision.

As you can see: Apple has set a trend with the Vision Pro, and the aforementioned headsets are unlikely to remain the only design copies and clones.
