The studio just announced Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset. Set at the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story, it will allow players to experience the "fast and risky life of a podracer", according to ILM. We don't know much more about the project, which will focus on mixed reality.

Jose Perez III, director of the project, explains in an official statement that mixed reality opens up new possibilities for telling Star Wars stories.

“Our goal at ILM has always been to find new and exciting ways for players to experience Star Wars stories. Focusing on mixed reality has opened several fascinating doors from an immersion standpoint and allows us to literally bring a galaxy far, far away right into the comfort of players’ homes in a way that’s unlike anything we’ve done before.”

The prequel story to the mixed reality game is told in a Marvel comic book by writer Ethan Sacks. The cover art is by Phil Noto, while the interior illustrations are by Will Sliney, Steven Cummings and Shogo Aoki.
