Pixel Ripped 1995 (October 3)
You travel back to the 16-bit era and take on the role of little David, who does nothing but sit in front of the TV and play on his SNES all day, much to the chagrin of his mother.
But there's more at stake than a mother's mental health: video game villain Cyblin Lord wants to take over the real world again, blurring the lines between video game and reality.
Pixel Ripped 1995 was supposed to be released in September, but was delayed until October. The PSVR 2 version is based on the PC VR original and features improved graphics and support for headset and controller haptics.
Waltz of the Wizard (October 3)
As a wizard, you'll find yourself in a tower room experimenting with magical essences and spells, unleashing superpowers and mad spells.
The PSVR 2 version of the VR classic comes with an exclusive feature: asymmetrical couch co-op.
Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game (October 5)
This sci-fi strategy game in the style of FTL: Faster Than Light got Ben hooked on Meta Quest.
The PSVR 2 version brings improved graphics, two additional ships, and a new, more relaxed difficulty level. The trailer shows the Quest version.
Red Matter (October 5)
Released in 2018, Red Matter takes place far in the future during a fictional Cold War. Assume the role of Agent Epsilon as you infiltrate a base of the Communist Republic of Volgravia on Saturn's moon Rhea for the Atlantic Union. Here you'll uncover the secrets of a top-secret research project. Red Matter set new graphic standards and combined clever puzzles with a mysterious story.
In 2022, the sequel Red Matter 2 was released, which expands on this formula and is one of the most graphically impressive VR games, especially on Playstation VR 2.
From October 5, you can also experience the first part with the VR headset, with improved graphics and controls. The trailer below shows the PC VR version.
BLINNK and the Vacuum of Space (October 10)
An autism-friendly sci-fi adventure with fun and stress-free hand interactions reminiscent of titles like Job Simulator.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs (October 10)
The mobile classic lovingly adapted for virtual reality comes with enhanced graphics for Playstation VR 2.
Tennis On-Court (October 17)
Tennis On-Court aims to be the most realistic VR tennis experience to date, with a variety of modes and features.
The 7th Guest (October 19)
The 7th Guest VR is a remake of the 1993 CD-ROM-based cult adventure game, modernized from the ground up for virtual reality.
A special feature of the VR game are the volumetrically filmed actors and actresses, whose ghostly apparitions can be admired from all sides in the game world.
The studio behind the game, Vertigo Games, promises a gripping and immersive haunting and mystery experience later this year, taking advantage of eye-tracking, dynamic lighting and high resolution on Playstation VR 2.
Vertigo 2 (October 24)
The sci-fi shooter Vertigo 2 is one of the best VR games of the year, and we're excited to see how the PSVR 2 version plays.
Ghostbusters: Lord of the Ghost (October 24)
Built from the ground up for virtual reality, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord expands the Ghostbusters universe with a new story, new setting, new gear, and a new cast.
The VR game can be completed solo, but is designed for co-op play. Play with up to three friends against the eponymous villain and his henchmen to save San Francisco from destruction.
Ghostbusters: Lord of the Ghost is also coming to Meta Quest, with the PSVR 2 version featuring improved graphics and eye-tracking support.
Journey to Foundation (October 26)
Based on the novels of Isaac Asimov, Journey to Foundation takes players on an epic journey across the galaxy. Players take on the role of Agent Ward, equipped with special mental abilities to recognize and influence emotions.
Among other things, you use them with the help of your line of sight, which is detected by eye tracking. In addition, you can expect gunfights, climbing, puzzles and freedom of choice in the story sections.
The Foglands (October 31)
A giant worm-like creature threatens the survival of a mysterious world called The Hold. You take on the role of Jim, a runner who supplies the inhabitants with collected goods and fights the creatures of the fog.
Thanks to the help of the mysterious "Stranger", you'll gain supernatural abilities. Throughout the game, you'll explore ever-changing worlds, fight monsters in hand-to-hand combat and with firearms, and collect valuable items to ensure the survival of the Hold.
