First games announced for Samsung's mixed reality headset
Samsung's mixed reality headset ("Project Moohan") will be suitable for games. The first titles are already announced.
The following VR games will support Google's Android XR spatial operating system and will therefore run on Project Moohan and other future headsets based on Android XR.
We will update this list as more titles are announced.
- Demeo
- Inside [JOB]
- Job Simulator
- Vacation Simulator
- Virtual Desktop (a streaming app for PC VR games)
The tabletop RPG Demeo is one of the most successful VR games and has been ported to a number of platforms. The Android XR version will support eye tracking, according to Resolution Games.
Not surprisingly, Owlchemy Labs is contributing three titles, including a mixed reality onboarding experience. The studio has been part of Google since 2017.
Although Virtual Desktop is not a game, it allows thousands of PC VR games to be streamed directly to the headset.
What is Project Moohan?
Samsung's mixed reality device is set to launch in 2025. It will be a premium headset with Qualcomm's fastest XR chipset, pancake lenses and state-of-the-art displays. In addition to hand and eye tracking, it will also support VR controllers. The price is still unknown.
The device's AI capabilities and XR-native versions of popular Google apps are expected to set it apart from competitors like Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro. It will support the Google Play Store, so most Android apps will be available in VR/MR.
We have compiled all available information about the device in a separate article.
