This Meta Quest 3 mixed reality game turns your room into a submarine
Prepare To Dive is a Meta Quest 3 game designed from the ground up for mixed reality. It turns your room into a 100-year-old submarine.
With its instruments, the submarine is reminiscent of the Nautilus from Jules Verne's novel "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea".
Many tasks and challenges await you here. You have to explore the depths of the sea, collect valuable treasures with a grappling arm, keep the submarine in good condition and defend it from underwater creatures, including cursed pirates and tentacles of sea monsters.
The first trailer reveals that you will visit the Lagoon of the Sirens in search of the legendary island of Atlantis. Along the way, you will have to fix leaks and pump water out of the submarine. So the game should keep you on your toes.
You can try the game for free as a beta tester
What's really cool is that some elements of the submarine (steering wheel and porthole, map, airlock, and more) can be freely placed on the walls to fit perfectly into your room, provided you have enough space. And that's not all: some elements adapt to their surroundings. For example, the steering wheel and porthole can be placed in a corner or on a flat wall, with the porthole changing its shape depending on its surroundings.
The game is being developed by Beagle, a New York studio and digital agency specializing in content for smartphone-based augmented reality.
Prepare to Dive is available in the App Lab for $4. You can get free access by signing up for the open beta with one click. The number of beta testers is limited to 100. So if you want to get in on the action, sign up quickly.
Please note that the content of the mixed reality game is not yet complete. The studio plans to add more quests and treasures, as well as an in-game store where you can sell captured treasures and upgrade your submarine.
