Pimax develops stand-alone computing unit for PC VR headsets
At the end of its keynote yesterday, Pimax announced "Cobb", a standalone device powered by a Snapdragon XR2 chip and battery. This computing unit is intended to enable the high-end VR headset Pimax Dream Air, which was also presented, to work independently in future to stream movies, run light applications or play games. There are no further details as yet. Dream Air is due to be delivered from May 2025.
