CONTEXT

Niorun Studios is made up of over 20 VR veterans, including eight core members who formerly worked on the VR shooter Onward. The team also has experience with titles such as Zenith, Marvel's Iron Man VR, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

According to Niorun Studios, Tier One: Direct Action will be a "spiritual successor" to Onward, incorporating elements from games like ArmA and Rainbow Six Siege. The focus will be on realistic gameplay, teamwork and immersive mechanics. As the commander of an elite military unit, you must undertake high-risk missions, make strategic decisions, and lead your unit through challenging combat situations.

The developers promise realistic environments, detailed weapon handling and multiple game modes for PvP and PvE. Announced features include a progression system, extensive character customization and realistic mechanics such as ladder climbing, rappelling, and helicopter extraction. Three game modes will be available during the early access period, with the final version offering up to ten different modes.
