The update will be released next week on Sidequest, where you can download the VR port for free. You must own the original game on Steam and transfer its data to your Quest.
Team Beef is also working on a PC VR version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This is currently only available in Early Access for Patreon backers.
A tailor-made VR port of the classic game
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a remake of the 1992 classic Wolfenstein 3D. It was released in 2001 for Windows PCs and two years later for Xbox and Playstation 2.
Playing as US agent William "B.J." Blazkowicz, you must escape from Nazi captivity, uncover a covert operation and thwart the plans of an occultist SS division.
Team Beef's Quest port was released in summer 2020, offering full 6DoF weapons aiming and roomscale as well as a variety of VR options. You can choose between smooth locomotion or teleportation, adjust your height while playing seated, and enable a left-handed option.
I tried out Return to Castle Wolfenstein on Meta Quest 2 at the time, and the game mostly ran smoothly on the VR headset. The performance should be even better on Quest 3.
