Meta Quest is getting Meta AI in the USA and Canada

Meta will bring its AI assistant, Meta AI, to Meta Quest as an experimental feature, but only in the US and Canada.
Meta AI is already supported by Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, but only in the United States and Canada. Soon, the AI assistant will also be available as an experimental feature for Meta Quest 3 and 2, but only in English and only in North America.
Meta AI with Vision, which was introduced in April for Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, will also be part of the update, but will only be supported by Quest 3 and initially only in its pass-through mode. Virtual objects are not yet detected.
Similar to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, Meta AI with Vision will be able to recognize objects in the physical environment and answer questions about them in real time. So Meta Quest 3 will be able to describe objects in front of you, translate text, and much more.
Meta gives further examples in the Quest blog to illustrate how Meta AI could help: You'll be able to ask how to dress for a summer trip, get a weather forecast, or get recommendations for a local restaurant.
Meta AI will roll out to Quest devices in the U.S. and Canada in August. Meta plans to improve the feature over time.
The AI-based voice commands feature introduced years ago for Quest, which never made it out of the US and Canada, is being deprecated and replaced by Meta AI.
