Meta Quest 3S is cheaper for a limited time

Meta temporarily reduces the price of the Meta Quest 3S by $30. This makes the entry into VR cheaper than ever before.
The following prices are valid until April 26:
- Meta Quest 3S with 128 GB storage: $270 instead of $300
- Meta Quest 3S with 256 GB storage: $370 instead of $400
- Meta Quest 3 with 512 GB memory: $500
The top model Meta Quest 3 is not discounted.
According to Meta, this discount only applies to purchases from Meta's online store. However, retailers and sites like Amazon.com may follow suit.
Even at the discounted price, all previous extras are included:
- Batman: Arkham Shadow, which was named VR Game of the Year at the Game Awards and DICE Awards.
- 3 months of Meta Quest+, a game subscription that provides you with many VR and MR games for free.
If you purchase a Quest 3 or Quest 3S until May 10, you can get the official carrying case at a reduced price of $50 instead of $70. The carrying case holds the headset, head strap (standard or Elite), two Touch Plus controllers, the charging cable, and the power adapter.
Should you buy Quest 3S or Quest 3? Here is our recommendation
If you are on a budget and want to spend as little as possible to get a taste of virtual and mixed reality, then Meta Quest 3S is your first choice. You won't get so much VR for so little money anywhere else, even at the normal price.
Otherwise, we highly recommend spending a little more and getting the Meta Quest 3. The more advanced lenses make a big difference in the sharpness and quality of the image. The more expensive headset also offers a finer adjustment of the lens distance, which can also lead to a significantly better image for some users.
The headsets are on par in terms of processing power, mixed reality, and software offerings.
