Geforce Now brings AAA gaming to Meta Quest 3

Nvidia has announced Geforce Now for Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Pico headsets and Apple Vision Pro. The service turns the devices into cloud-powered gaming PCs.

FACTS

Nvidia announced at the start of CES 2025 that various of standalone mixed reality headsets will soon receive support for Geforce Now, including features such as ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS.

Nvidia calls the following devices:

  • Meta Quest 3 and 3S
  • Pico mixed reality devices (Nvidia does not specify which Pico headsets)
  • Apple Vision Pro

This means that it will be possible to stream gamepad-compatible flat PC games in high quality to the headsets and play them on a virtual big screen. There is no mention of PC VR streaming.

Geforce Now support will be available in January with version 2.0.70. The service will be accessible through the device's browsers by visiting the dedicated website.

Subscribers to GeForce Now Performance or Ultimate benefit from RTX and DLSS technologies in supported games. You can find the current prices for the subscriptions on Nvidia's website. Nvidia has collaborated with Meta, Pico and Apple for Geforce Now support.

Geforce Now supports more than 2,100 titles, a list of all games can be found here. Nvidia announced that the upcoming AAA titles Doom: The Dark Ages and Avowed will also be part of the game catalog.

Geforce Now is the second streaming service for flat gaming available for Meta Quest after Xbox Cloud Gaming.

With the Xbox Cloud Gaming app, Game Pass titles can be played on a virtual big screen since the end of 2023. Meta Quest 3, 3S, 2 and Pro are supported. A Game Pass Ultimate subscription is required.

One advantage of Geforce Now is that the service is available in many more countries than Xbox Cloud Gaming.
