The VR game Maestro lets you conduct a giant orchestra with your hands. It is coming to Meta Quest and PC VR soon.

FACTS

Maestro is a different kind of VR rhythm game. Instead of slashing blocks to the beat, you must perform famous pieces of classical music by conducting an orchestra using controllers or your own hands.

The French studio Double Jack describes Maestro as follows:

"Step into a gorgeous opera house with Maestro, the orchestra conducting rhythm game that redefines elegance, eliteness and high-society Parisian sophistication. The long-awaited expansion of the hit demo “Maestro: The Masterclass”, Maestro uses gestural controls to put you in charge of orchestras of all sizes in immersive worlds where every moments screams: CULTURE. An army of elite musicians at your beck and call, and an audience of thousands waiting to judge your latest epic masterpiece tomatoes in hand: what could possibly go wrong?"

The forthcoming full version will let you conduct famous passages from works such as Wagner's Die Walküre, Beethoven's 5th Symphony and Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. In addition to classical music, you can also choose from modern pieces (electro, jazz and hip-hop). See the full list below.

Last week, Double Jack announced that the full version will be released this summer. So we don't have to wait much longer. The new trailer shows a lavishly animated orchestra and whets the appetite for more.
