Gunman Contracts looks like a promising PC VR shooter
Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone is a VR shooter coming to PC VR headsets in 2025. The first trailer looks promising.
Mod developer ANB_Seth is turning his popular Half-Life: Alyx mod Gunman Contracts into a standalone game. Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone will be released in early access on Steam in 2025. It is being developed primarily for virtual reality, but you will also be able to play it without a headset.
In the game, you take on the role of a professional hitman, taking on ruthless figures from the criminal underworld and ensuring justice and order in a world beyond the law. A first trailer (see below) gives a positive first impression with great-looking locations, fights, and explosions.
Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone is being built from the ground up and will feature new contracts that pit you against enemies with a variety of weapons.
The Early Access version, which will be released next year, will include the basics and the beginning of the game: the Gunman's base, with various weapons to stock, modify and customize, a series of high score courses on the shooting range and some demo areas. The first Gunman contract is also in development. For version 1.0, which is expected to be completed in the next two to three years, the developer is planning five to six missions and various game modes.
Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone is produced in cooperation with the publisher 2080 Games (MiRacle Pool, Memoreum).
