GORN 2: The bloodiest VR game ever returns this year to Quest, PSVR 2 and Steam

The sequel to the popular VR brawler will arrive in 2025, bringing players to new heavenly battlegrounds where they'll face familiar foes.
In Gorn 2, players ascend through five celestial realms to confront the souls of gladiators they defeated in the original game. The sequel expands on everything that made the original Gorn successful.
Players can wield 35 distinct "devastating" weapons as they battle the five sons of the underworld god across blood-soaked arenas. The game introduces new enemies, traps, and power-ups to keep combat fresh and challenging.
After conquering all five heavenly arenas, players can test their skills in Endless Mode, which offers non-stop survival battles. The game also includes a Custom Mode where players can design their own battlefields, though sharing capabilities haven't been confirmed yet.
Gorn 2 will launch on Meta Quest, Steam, and Playstation VR 2.
From controversial beginnings to VR success
The original Gorn debuted in Early Access for PC VR in 2016, later expanding to PSVR, Quest, and PlayStation VR 2. Known as one of virtual reality's bloodiest games, it has sold more than 1.5 million copies across all platforms, according to Devolver Digital.
The game's excessive gladiatorial violence sparked debate when it launched in 2016, as it offered unprecedented levels of brutal dismemberment in VR. To balance this intensity, the developers chose an exaggerated comic style and self-aware tone.
